I speak about Biden's address in Philadelphia, and of Trumpist hysteria over being challenged and stood up to.

Hello, hello, hello. John Mason, how is everybody? I was there in Phil living in Philadelphia, I was in there Thursday evening for the um address that President, yes, President Joe Biden gave uh in front of Independence Hall. It was I thought it was excellent and right on the money. He he made spelled out perfectly well the uh the danger dangers that our democracy faces uh due to Trump and the and uh the MAGA Republicans, which he very wisely uh separated from the uh mainstream conservative Republicans. And uh that was good of him to do it. A real statesman thing to do, for him to do. And I mean he really yeah, he laid into them and I thank I thank him for doing so. And I'm grateful that he's start that uh a laid-back guy like him is just throwing down the gauntlet, saying, Finally, just like the rest of us do, we ain't taking your shit no more, Maggus. And and uh there were some hecklers, but uh he had some fun with them. And and of course Trump and company they went so hysterical that somebody dared to stand up to them. That they that we that Biden and we the Democrats and progressives, etc., are the are the divisive ones, we're kind of causing violence, we're causing division, we're causing hate. Projection. That's what that's what it is, projection. The old uh psychological trick of accusing the other people what you're what you're guilty of. And it's not working out. The wind politically the wind's at our back. And I just got earlier this year I just had it up to up to my eyeballs with pundits saying that the Republicans are gonna retake the house and it and the Senate and it's not quite working according to plan. And I am great and I am uh grateful, I'm happy as hell for uh for the recent victory in uh Alaska, the congressional race where Nancy Pellatoa, the Democrat and of native origin, beats uh Sarah Palin uh for the congressional seat and shows us uh we're on the march. We have the capacity to win. But only if we get out and vote. But for a long time, Republicans have had the idea that by some manoral right uh the White House and Congress and a government are theirs to own. That anytime a Democrat uh gets elected, they're usurpers. They don't belong there. They that's the way they were with uh with Bill Clinton when they when Republicans were saying that he didn't really represent the people because of the Ross Perot candidacy. And uh that's the way they did with Barack Obama because uh they allowed the rumors that uh that Obama was born in Kenya and therefore not eligible to run for president. And it's been built I mean the Republican Party has been I've said this hundreds of times before, but I'll keep saying it. The Republican Party has been going on this route for decades. I would say most prominently starting in 64 with the defeat of Barry Goldwater, and all the way down through uh through Richard Nixon's Southern Strategy, Law and Order, Pay No Attention to the Civil Rights Movement, and and Ronald Reagan with his Scare the Welfare Queen, always stereotyped as black, cause uh same blatant in your face racism just doesn't cut it. Although uh racism now is becoming more acceptable to some people. And now we got uh and we also had George H.W. Bush, this Yankee blue blood who transported himself to Texas, playing that being a Texacan, trying it his went on the the Willie Horton uh can uh campaign, the ad the ad ser the campaign ser of ads uh showing the big scary black man terrorizing white people, etc. And we got uh and it's culminated in in Barack Obama no in Donald Trump Donald Trump uh scaring everybody with um with uh scares calling the coronavirus the Kung Flu or the China virus and this and the scary stories about Mexicans uh stampeding over the border and and now the Republicans are saying that they're have their schemes of election fraud, that complaining that election fraud lost them the presidency, and they're making a big crusade about that. About a problem that does not exist, but the current mechanisms we have voter fraud, fraudulent votes have been found, more like most mainly in republic from Republican voters. Their voter fraud is okay, but we but we are we're the ones having to be policed. I mean that's the way it is with uh people in privileg in privileged positions. They can do whatever they want, but the rest of us have to be policed and monitored. Well, it's fight back time, kids. We're gonna get out there and vote. November 8th, get out and vote. And do it every each and every time. But do it wisely, do it intelligently. Get out there and vote. Okay. Now we got uh well I have to say something about um uh about uh about a little thing. Uh Thomas Webster, he was a New York City cop, and and he was one of the first ones who uh tried to who ran through the the police barricades on January 6th in the riot that led to some people being killed, police officers like himself injured, our democracy in peril. And for his role, the federal judge sentenced Thomas Webster to ten years in prison for assaulting his his fellow police officers, and he breaks down crying like a little baby for being caught. That's what he's crying about. And but they they think they can get away with anything, but once they get caught out for it, it's oh please forgive me there and with the raid on and with the lawful uh execution of the warrant by the FBI and who classified documents in Donald Trump's uh Mar-a-Lago uh pleasure palace, including finding some uh top secret documents and folders that had no documents in them, and uh strewn in the office, and if Michael Colin is right, uh his other properties like his Trump Tower in Fifth Avenue and his golf retreat in Bedminster. I mean, even even the so-called mainstream Republicans that shunned tried to shun uh Donald Trump uh in the 2016 primary, and now sucking up to Trump are screaming for defund the FBI. The FBI is a rogue agency. These are the ones who got hysterical about defund the pol the slogan defund the police after uh after the shooting of George Floyd, another uh uh police violence incidents against black people. To sum up, the pol it's okay, the police are okay as far as Republicans are concerned, the police are okay with uh for uh terrorizing minority communities and keeping the lower order lower orders in line. But when they get called to account, when they get the warrant, when they get the cuffs, oh we're being tyrannized, oh tyranny, uh fund the FBI they're pathetic. Even more reason to vote them out, each and every one of them. Okay, and get out and vote. Okay, that's the end of my rant. Now advertisements. I don't have to wait for uh the situation in New Jersey, like where recreational weed is legal. It is I look forward to Pennsylvania having legal recreational weed. Once uh the uh the Yahoo is in the state legislature realize what a revenue windfall it can be, hopefully uh they'll get the message and vote for it. And let's see how what libertarians they really are. And tomorrow I shall be participating in Philadelphia's Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Festival. I will be marching with thousands of my union brothers and sisters to pay respects to though those union activists who have come before us and to prepare for the next generation. To honor the victories in the past, to celebrate the victories of today, and prepare for more victories in the future. As long as we stay stay united, stay conscious, and keep on voting, the victories will keep coming and coming. Maybe in bits and pieces, dribs and drags, but they will keep they will add up. Okay.
