Hello, hello, hello, John Mason. How is everybody? Hope you're all well. Especially in this deluge we're going through in Philadelphia. Today is the one year anniversary, if you want to call it that, of one of the Supreme United States Supreme Court handing down one of the most disgraceful rulings in its history. The Dobbs decision that can't that canceled out Roe versus Wade. The Dodds decision abolished all federal level protections on abortion. It lifted all bans on states regulating abortion in their in their states. And right after the and right after the Dobbs decision was announced, state legislatures enacted put into effect their uh trigger laws. The laws that were set up at the moment Roe v. Way was uh cancelled, uhbortion bans would take effect automatically. But it ran right up there with the Dred Scott decision. You may remember you know the history, Dred Scott was a slave, and for ten years he went through the went through the courts to attain his freedom because his master took him to a free area, free state, and another free territory. And the Drescott decision by the learned justices of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Roger Teaney, was that black people did not have the rights that a white person needed to respect. It had the attitude that all black people were to be assumed as slaves. Back then they thought that the whole argument would be the James Buchanan administration thought that the whole issue of slavery would be settled right then and there. Nobody's talking about it. It's over and done with. But we all know what happened afterwards. Greater agit act uh abolitionist activist activism and the John and the John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry, and final finally the Southern States seceding from the Union and then the Civil War. And the justices and our allies must have thought that we would just meekly accept this. Uh-uh. The moment that the DOS decision came out, people were packed in City Hall and in front like to last year I was at the at the rally in front of City Hall to protest the Dodds decision, and there were rallies all throughout the country. Cities and big and small had rallies. And that was the reaction uh the Dodds decision had. Certainly not. We didn't lay down for the Dodds decision, and we're still not laying down. That is the message we wish to convey to the so-called Moms for Liberty, which will hold this convention on the at the Marriott Hotel in front of Market Street in Philadelphia. An interesting cast of characters will show up. Donald Trump will be a guest speaker, and Ron DeSantis and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is feeding on the on the on the family name. And you know the kind of people they draw. Trump and DeSantis have have a like have as their followers, their supporters, some of those vicious gangs of right-wing, neo-fascist thugs like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, those guys. And the non-parat paramilitary supporters are vicious too. So it's gonna be w it's gonna be a rumble. It's gonna be serious this time next week. And we gotta let them know we're not going to take take their oppression of us. We're gonna align ourselves with the LGBTQ people, particularly, more especially the trans community and the drag community, particular targets of uh of right wing ire. And we're gonna let them know that we're not to be in we're not gonna be intimidated. We're gonna stand up for ourselves. And they underestimate us, our enemies. Well, let them underestimate us. Makes our work all the more easy. They think we're soft. Let's show them how soft we are. We're not gonna run, we're not scared. Our ancestors crossed a whole ocean and went into countries and died there to free free people from in Europe from fascism. All we have to do is go downtown and confront them. That's it. That's the fight we have on our hands. And the fight starts wherever you are, in your communities. Don't think your area is safe from all that. Don't think your little rural township is not going to be affected by the uh by the events going outside its borders. Trust me, it'll get there. It'll get there. Okay. And on that cheering note, advertisements. My novel Soldier of the Cross is available at Amazon.com.
