Hello, hello, hello, John Mate Mason. How is everybody? Sorry, just drink some coffee. Young, I have been through with my wonderful congregation, Dave Hayre, with the two days of Rosh Hashuna. I continue to bid everyone out there a sweet, happy, and prosperous new year. Filled with blessings. And now Yom Kippur is coming up. It's a time I take seriously to reflect on anything negative you've done and turning away from the negativity towards towards things that are positive. And if there are any out there within the sound of my voice who I have offended, who I've done negative to, I ask your forgiveness. And at this moment I am I am very pleased with the uh with the with the uh with the current wave of union organizing going on, such as with the uh with the UAW strike against the big three automakers, GM, Ford, and Stillantis, which manufactures Chrysler and Jeep. Yes, the workers are do understand that who the real enemy is, who are really oppressing them. And it's not some some anonymous government bureaucrat the right wing likes to wane about. It's definitely not uh foreign immigrants stealing our jobs. Actually, and in doing and excuse me, I'm not prepared, and current, like I said, there's union organizing going on every all over the country. Among workers at Starbucks and and Amazon and Trader Joe's, and let's continue to support all these workers organizing uh for their for their benefits. Like I said, they know who the real enemy is. It's the large corporations with their CEOs, even if they fail disastrously, get fat, juicy retirement bonus, retirement packages, including huge bonuses and options on stock. And if any worker on the line commit a scrub as they screw up, the worker would be kicked down the street and get nothing. They would get no rewards for errors, as do the CEOs and other higher-level corporate uh executives, and their pet politicians who write the tax laws and the trade deals for their benefit for the corporation's benefit, and not to the benefit of working people, either in this country or in foreign countries. There is a yes, consciousness, workers are conscious about what they need to do and who is putting them down. And another thing that freaks uh trends gets me irritated is you know how Republicans and the right wing in general just love our military, love our our police forces, and they always say back the blue and blue lives matter and support the troops. Well then, Exhibit A is Tommy Tupperville, uh the senator from Alabama, who is personally by some antiquate rule from the Senate, holding up uh promotions and appointments in the military. For what? The grandstand about the military's abortion policy on abortion. To be clear, it's not any abortions on base. See if personnel, military personnel get pregnant, and they're in a state like Alabama or Texas where abortion is illegal, the service would provide them money to go to another state where abortion is legal, say Pennsylvania, and get the procedure done and lodgings and travel. That's it, that's it. And and Tupperville, ignoramus that he is, they put a block on that. And the national security is totally uh jeopardized because uh certain services are uh devoid of leadership. He doesn't care, does he? Lonce he gets the headlines and the publicity. Another fun fact about Tupperville is that is that he doesn't give a ras about neo-Nazis and fascists and white supremacists in the military. You call white supremacists, I call them Americans. And that thing is helping to drop laws for the rest of us in this country. And as for police forces, despite their back to blue and blue lives matter talk, they don't care about the police. I remember after the the January 6th riots, there were proposed congressional gold medals for the police officers who valiantly tried to fight off the mob so as so as to protect the members of Congress inside the building. And what did and what did they as a certain uh way to the right Republican Congress members who were protected by those same police officers voted against uh those gold medals. Oh how sick that's they show their true colors. Sure, try out the try out the military for for repressing uh people we don't like abroad and and send in the cost for people in this country we want repressed. But honor their service, award them, make sure they have nice pensions, make sure they have nice medical care after they retire. I'm that's what we have to challenge. And a super weapon of of the of the American citizen is the vote. In November is voting time, and I'm I myself am going to be doing my election board work in my division in Philadelphia, and I urge others to get involved in the system. Try to take part in community organizations and maybe your war commit word committee like I am, then when voting time comes, you get out there and vote. Don't take the vote lightly. People have been killed, literally injured and killed by people who didn't want them to vote. Who trying to repress our right to vote? That's how powerful the vote is. They're afraid of our votes. So let's give them something to be scared of. Let's vote them out. Voting candidates who sincerely represent us. Okay, that's it for now. And now advertisements.
