I speak about the silly stuff going on in Washington, with the federal budget and the far-right Republicans not willing to govern; and of Trump losing his fraud case in New York.
Hello, hello, hello. Sean Mason, how is everybody? Hope you're all well. Hope things are good for you. I hope things are good for America. See, I am pretty disgusted as a lot of people are, as I should I'm sure you are, with all this silly business going around in Congress. A budget deal has to be finalized by by October 1st, otherwise the federal the federal government would shut down. Federal employees, including the military, wouldn't get paid. And would jeopardize such vital services such as, but not limited to Social Security, Medicare, and VA benefits. Full disclosure, I utilize such benefits, as do millions of other Americans. And they're playing with our lives in Congress. And Kevin McCarthy, that so-called the squeaker of the house, it has to bend over backwards to appease this maniacal minority in his caucus so he can remain a speaker. And they demand more and more and more cuts. And uh more and more uh more and more things that uh their agenda or attacks than the targets uh of their agenda, such as LGBTQ uh people, particularly in the military. And don't think for a minute, not for a minute. That's all about uh balancing the budget. The budget and deficits have not a damn thing to do with it. They just like to attack to just feel the need to attack peep programs that benefit people and not corporations. Period end of story. I'm not spouting Marxist propaganda, whatever the hell that is. I'm stating fact. And this is the Republican Party has proven itself unsuited to govern. Instead of working on the serious issues of the American people, they descend to attacking vulnerable minority groups. And correction, vulnerable groups that we all could be in, such as uh people of color, uh LGBTQ people, for veterans and retirees. Oh, and little kids too. That's all they have to offer. Assaults on people they hate. As as for actually governing, they are useless. When when they rob deficits, when they have the presidency, it's not a big deal. Oh, if a Democrat gets into office they want to pinch every penny. That's so it's that's what it's about. And McCart Kevin McCarthy. It's more like Charlie McCarthy. I remember that. I'm old enough to remember it, Edgar Bergen and his puppet Charlie McCarthy. It's as if the Freedom Caucus is the is the uh Edgar Bergen to uh Kevin McCarthy's Charlie McCarthy. Who d he'll talk their talk. So he can remain a speaker. That guy is the s sorriest sack of shit I've ever seen in politics. Right after the January 6th coup attempt, he went on the floor of the House and stated frankly that he held Donald Trump responsible for the riot. But what does McCarthy do later on, a few months later? He goes to Mar-a-Lago and kisses the ring and other parts of parts of of Donald Trump. A sorry excuse of a man has no business being Speaker of the House. He's got to go. And hopefully s some more responsible Republicans, conservative maybe, but putting the country first, may work with the Democrats and elect Hakeem Jeffries, the minor the minority leader to be speaker. Someone who wouldn't be beholden to the raving maniacs of the Freedom Caucus. Oh, and I mentioned Donald Trump. Isn't it so interesting that that the judge supervising the of the Donald Trump case that New York State Attorney General Letitia James brought up about his uh fraud, fraud based on his business? The fraud is he artificially inflates the value of his property so he can get loans from banks. But when the IRS comes around, he artificially deflates the value of his properties. Well, the judge, using the power of summary judgment, declared Trump guilty of fraud. And Trump and his sons and his uh co-conspirators have lost a license to do business in New York State, and Trump might lose his valuable properties like his golf club in upstate New York, his tower in 40 Wall Street, and his Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. Wouldn't that just be a shame? Diabolical laughter. And that was his big selling point in the 2016 campaign, that he was his great capitalist business whiz, that being a business great business mogul made him uh qualified to run a government. But there's two they're two different entities, a government and a uh and a private corporation, and they require two sets of skills. And I think that needs one thing that needs to be discussed is what I call the cult of the businessman. The constant belief that the businessman is a practical man that can do just about anything without regard to ideology. Guy who gets things done. That needs some revisiting. Okay. The earth where which grows our plants and whatever contaminants are in the earth go into our food. And let us respect to the work, let us pay our respects to the workers who uh who uh who uh harvest the food, pick the food, pick the gross vegetables and fruits, and and uh processes them in uh canneries, who drive it, drive the drive trucks with the food for several thousands of miles, and the and the store workers who stock the shelves of the food.
