Hello, hello, hello, John Mason. How is everybody? Hope you're all well. This is the weekend of Veterans Day. The weekend that we commemorate those men and women like I was once who did military service for this country. And of course we must honor particularly those who never came back. And those of us who did come back deserve all that is all that is good coming to us. Which means whatever benefits we can accrue, we are worth it. We are very much worth it for all the work and sacrifice the veterans have done. And I am appalled that sometimes our military forces, veterans and currently serving military personnel, are being having long used as political footballs. Like I'm still remembering the time. The fumes from the toxic burn pits as they served in Afghanistan. And the senators have moved to stick it to uh the Biden administration and own the libs. They were congratulating themselves, high five and all that. Like they did something wonderful. But some of them didn't serve in the military, so I don't think they'd be very sensitive about it. And now we have uh Tommy Tupperville, the senator from supposedly Alabama, said that his main residence is on the Florida Panhandle, this four million dollar mansion on the Florida Panhandle. And he's constantly uh uh vetoing all the military appointments that the Senate is trying to approve. He's always saying his opposition and that one that's the archaic silly rule that one senator can veto a bill in the Senate. I don't know how that came up. I don't know how that uh originated. Personally, I think it's um just like a lot of uh the rules in our government put together somewhere between the end of the Revolutionary War and before the Civil War to try to accommodate the slaveholding states and the gentries that ruled them. But I I'm not sure, it's just my speculation. And because that Senator Tummy Tupperville, who is who is as also sucked as a uh football coach because of that guy promo militar talented military personnel can't obtain promotions and some of they don't know when they're going to get their promotions, they don't know when this nonsense is gonna stop, and so they decide they have to leave this their service. I wish them well. And because of that one idiot senator, our sec our military security is in jeopardy. At at a time when when when Russia is at war with Ukraine, China is threatening Taiwan, and Israel is trying to defend itself from Hamas. Those nations who who oppose us, and those dictators. Xi Xin Ping, Putin, Kim Jun-un, they're enjoying the show. How how this nation, the most militarily powerful nation in all of history, is jamming itself up because of one moron of a senator. And another result is when the Marine Corps commandant, General Eric Smith, had been trying to do everything by himself. He had a heart attack from it. With so few hours of sleep and too many hours of work, of course it would wear down his body. But as Tommy Tumberville says, come on, give me a break, it's like he refused to accept responsibility for his screw up. Like he refused to understand that his silly his silly policy is is destroying our military. Hopefully we can find a way around Tumerville's uh nonsense. That's an important statement to make on Veterans Day. Tommy Tumberville's silly business is an insult to to milit currently serving military personnel and veterans. As we celebrate our veterans and have our parties and take the ten dollar discount at Home Depot, let us remember. Guys like Tupperville and the senators who celebrated the defunding of treatment for toxic burn pit fumes. Let's remember them. Let's remember those who send their uh uh upholstered in their upholstered seats in the Senate and House, sending young men and women to uh to to the battlefields. Well they look like the heroes in in Washington. And on a more positive note, I performed my duty as an election board worker for my division in Phil South Philadelphia. I'm proud of that work, and it is work, trust me, but worth the while to help people work the voting machines so they can exercise their democratic right to vote. Which so many people are trying to take away from us. And so we must fight fight this, fight that phenomena. And I urge you to seriously consider uh going to your county board of elections, your county commissioners, and say that you want to be an election board worker. Listen to what's required. They might need you someday. And and also the elections for 2013 are way over. And the results are in another sweep for the Democrats. The Philadelphia has its first female mayor, Sherelle Parker, who is an African American woman, and and Pennsylvania has one more Democrat on the state Supreme Court. And all over Pennsylvania and the nation, candidates endorsed by the Moms for Liberty have intrunced. People are fighting back against these crazy loony bitches who who are try who are trying to dictate to us what kind of books we and the kids would should read. Like keep us ignorant, to keep us uh uninformed about such things as African American history and LGB LGBTQ history, and they're imposing their willful illiteracy on us, the reading public. So let's keep the fight going. Like I said, not a bad year for Democrats, but already the news media is harping on the idea that Biden is way down the polls and he's going to lose in 2024. I mean, we've been through this scenario hundreds of times. A year before the election, over a year before the election, the polls indicate the incumbent Democrat will lose before the election's even taken place. Before even the Iowa caucuses. We can't have that. We shouldn't pay attention to polls. First of all, the election hasn't taken place. And polls don't elect people. We the people elect the people to serve these offices. So don't get hung up about polling. Get out there and vote in 2024, in both the primary and the general election. You get to decide who's gonna lead us into the next uh four years and beyond. You decide. The vote is your superpower, and don't let anybody take it away from you. And speaking of parties, to get back to the Philadelphia elections, the Republican Party is on its way out. It is doomed. The Philadelphia City Charter in this stipulates that least two at-large city council seats have to be for the minority party. And for decades it's always been the Republican Party. Now those minority slots have been filled, taken over by members of the Working Families Party. Kendra Brooks, who is already an incumbent, and the Reverend Nicholas Ulrock. Good show, guys. Of course it didn't salt the dodo's but so history is what we'll we make it. We will decide our future, our candidates, our elected officials, by getting out there and voting. Okay that's it for me.
