Hello, hello, hello, John Mason. How is everybody? I hope you're all doing well. Well, Thanksgiving is coming upon us, finally. And there's this unfortunate uh phenomenon going on. I guess it's from co companies trying to cash in on the holidays as soon as possible about uh brushing the holidays, uh trying to try uh getting the holiday merchandise out uh too early. I've seen a local goodwill store uh holiday uh Halloween costumes and it wasn't even Labor Day. You hear Christmas carols before before Halloween. I think hey, let's have holl Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, okay? And one New Year's Eve I was at my local uh I was at my local Rite Aid and already they had the St. Valentine's Day cards out. Excuse me. This is getting ridiculous. This Why? I have always been told to be in the present, be in the now focus on what's in front of you. So so Thanksgiving is coming up and and concentrate on your quality time with your loved ones, okay? On another thing, the old phenomena of Black Friday. There's stories of uh people camp camping now at the mall before Thanksgiving. Get ready for the Black Friday sales to open up at the mall. Camping now even thing Thanksgiving dinner in the line waiting for the mall to open on black on Black Friday. Hello shouldn't you be with your loved ones nice and warm? You can get the Christmas stuff later. And am I the now I have to let you know the real story. The real story behind Thanksgiving. You know the old image of uh the big long picnic table with the food and and the pilgrims chwuning down with the natives. I won't use the I word. And they and it wasn't like that at all. Could we please take that out of the coloring books? Okay. Thanksgiving day officially began in 1637 and the and the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, John Winthrop, ordered a Thanksgiving celebration to celebrate the uh the return of colonists who massacred uh two hundred seven hundred uh natives of the Pequot Nation Massacre. And that's what we're celebrating. Ain't that fun? To this day, representatives of the native nations go on go to Plymouth, go to Coles Hill on Prim Plymouth Rock, and to them as a day of mourning. A day of mourning. That's another thing. We have to pay attention to the shady side of American history. That way we can heal from it and move on as a nation. And eh that reminds me. Just remember that uh the next time you hear howls about critical race theory, which do I have to say this again? Please, is taught in is taught in law schools. Law schools it discusses the idea it's the idea that racism is embedded, baked in to every institution in our country, whether it's academia or the account or municipal government or federal government or corporations. That that my friends is critical race story. Learn what it really is. Okay, I have my rant for now, and now advertisements.
