I speak about the Odyssey movie, and of the Senate Republican interrogation of Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. John Mason. How is everybody? Hope you're all well. Keeping cool in the heat. Hope so. This past Monday I went to the local theater in Center City to see the Odyssey move, the movie The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Matt Damon as Odysseus Odysseus and Lupita Niwongo as Helen of Troy. And I did it because I I thought if the the right wing has been howling so much about a non-white woman playing Helen of Troy and about a transgender person uh performing, I thought then it's gotta be good. So I went, I give it a four stars. And like and uh have you been paying attention to the committee hearings in the Senate where Rad Paul, uh supposedly from Kentucky, I don't know where he's uh came out of, at of course at the behest of uh Donald What's his face, has been having a screen fest screening screaming fest at Dr. Anthony Fauci. The man who guided uh the United States in the 80s uh through the uh through the AISHIV crisis. See, I remember that time when was written off when Reagan was president and and and the so-called religious right, so-called moral majority dominated the Republican Party. And they and they gaze received a lecture about their immoral lifestyle. He offered no solutions uh for the AIDS crisis except uh turn to Jesus and die. That's it. Tell him to just die. Hell with them. But Fauci led research into uh HIV AIDS, and finally we develop medicines and treatments to to deal with it, put it under some form of control. And millions of people are living who otherwise will die from that disease. And Fauci also uh got guided the United States in 2020 through the uh COVID pandemic. Of course, I remember that time all too well when everything was shut down and we weren't supposed to uh meet each other. We had to wear a mask and and people thought it was a badge of badge of honor, bag a heroic act to not wear a mask. Because for for free for sake of liberty bullshit and uh our commander in chief he he recommended that uh for he kept saying though, oh it oh it's just gonna go away in a couple of weeks. It's just a common coal. So this does nothing. And then he declared it the Democrats knew hoax. Then he then he recommended that uh people take some sort of horse medicine and uh consume some sort of bleach and uh insert some sort of UV light into themselves. Oh yes. Meanwhile, Fauci was performing real science, doing real research into a vaccine for COVID. As did every one of Fauci's interrogators and because of uh Trump's uh jerking around or jerking he was jerking at something, I don't know, he one and a about one and a half million Americans died. People's loved ones. Freezer trucks was used as uh makeshift morks. Hospital workers had to put on trash bags and uh because he did have those uh hospital scrub things to put on them. And Fauci is an Anthony Fauci is an American hero. And in between those two crises, Fauci was awarded by George W. Bush, a Republican, uh the Presidential Medal of Freedom. See, George W. Bush was an idiot, not as bad as Trump, who but he realized that disease is a nonpartisan issue. Just as HIV can affect a Democrat or Republican or libertarian or whatever, so so can it they be affected by uh COVID. It is all at the behest of Donald Trump. It's why they're grandstanding for him. And this is what the Republican Party has sunk to under Donald Trump. It's always what does Donald Trump want? What does our master want from us, uh subs? And this meanwhile, real diseases are are uh coming up. Dise diseases that have been launched since uh overcome and dormant, they're making their emergence. They're re-emerging like measles. There's a measles outbreak in Texas and along with the um along with the cattle blight, uh cattle parasitic worm, for which is infecting cattle. And trust me, those the measles and the parasitic worms are gonna spread all over the country. It's not gonna be confined to the Texas state border, and those parasitic worms can infect humans as well as as cattle. That is why. We can't let them push us around. We can't be quiet. We know that Donald Trump is going to use every dirty, rotten, underhanded trick to remain in power, undermining the midterms, like like demanding voter registration records from the various states, and threatening to send armed ICE agents to polling stations. He is desperate. He knows the American people are turning against him. And if people don't have their right to vote, so we can have an administration that doesn't have his head up his ass, God, the devil take him. I'm wishing him eternal damnation.
